“Meet & Greet” and transfer to the Roman countryside for your “welcome lunch”.
After lunch transfer to the family estate Casale del Gallo and check in. Your host will personally welcome you and show you around his family property that has been exclusively reserved for Classic Time Travel. Here you will experience the amazing beauty of the Roman countryside. An enchanting setting with comfortable accommodation, just a few kilometers from Rome’s city center.

Relax and enjoy a dinner on site.

Board the private bus to transfer to nearby Ostia Antica where the local guide will join you and the Classic Time Travel team, for a visit to this old port town, once the thriving commercial, import + export trade centre of the Roman capital itself, thanks to its Tiber River harbor, abandoned after the fall of the Roman Empire.

After lunch, return to the villa Casale del Gallo for a fun afternoon with a cooking class and dinner.

Today immerse yourself in a fully-guided day through Ancient Rome.
Listen to talks and enjoy stories and anecdotes, while you walk through the magnificent ruins of the Palace of the Emperors on the Palatine Hill. Discover the cradle of western civilization: the Roman Forum. Walk in the footsteps of Julius Caesar, Cicero, Mark Anthony, and Trajan as we marvel at the places they used to see.

Free time for lunch.

In the afternoon, meet again with your group for a visit to the Pantheon, the best preserved temple in the entire Roman world and Santa Maria degli Angeli, constructed inside the Roman baths of the Emperor Diocletian.

Rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Reconvene for a lovely dinner in the heart of the Eternal City.

After dinner, we head back to Casale del Gallo.

Full day dedicated to visit Villa Adriana, lavishly built by the Emperor Hadrian for himself and his court. It bears unique testimony to the grandeur and architectural and decorative characteristics of the period.

After lunch we visit the Appian Way (Via Appia) one of the most important Roman roads, that connects Rome with Brindisi, on the Adriatic coast in the Apulia region.

Dinner at a unique location inside the Appia Antica Park.

Guided by Don and Mary, and assisted by a licensed local guide, visit Palazzo Massimo, built in the late nineteenth century to be a Jesuit boarding school. Today it is the main museum of the four seats of the National Roman Museum.

Free time for lunch.

In the afternoon guided visit of the Roman section of the Vatican Museums. This visit will also include a moment dedicated to Renaissance art with a visit to the “Sistine Chapel” by Michelangelo Buonarroti.

Stay at Casale del Gallo, play a round of golf next door, at the Fioranello golf club, or head to the city for a free day in Rome.

Board your private bus and transfer to the Sorrento Coast. Enjoy a stop for lunch.

Full day visit to the archeological sites of Oplontis, Herculaneum and Pompeii, the extraordinarily preserved art, sculpture, frescoes & architecture from the dramatic eruption of 79 A.D. A delightful walk through the still whispering testimonies of the daily life of an ancient Roman city.

Lunch in culturally typical restaurants at the foot of Mount Vesuvius.

Private transfer to Naples where the group will meet the local guide who, together with Don and Mary of Classic Time Travel, will guide you through the National Archeological Museum, one of the most remarkable collections of ancient artifacts ever assembled, the rich remains of life at the very moment it stopped, that fateful day, 2,000 years ago.

In the afternoon, we join the local guide for a midday walk, discovering the wonderful charm of Naples.

And since no visit to Naples is complete without an authentic Neapolitan pizza, enjoy an authentic “pizza night” as part of your local adventure.

Fun morning exploring the Amalfi Coast through its precious fruit: the lemon. Explore the territory, learn about the local cuisine, and discover how to make “Limoncello” a fresh and tasty, world-renowned liquor.
